For the gingerbread hearts, knead the dough ingredients with the dough mixer to a tough dough and let it rest overnight. Roll out the dough not too thin and cut out hearts.

Brush them with the beaten egg and decorate with a halved almond. Bake the gingerbread hearts for 12 minutes at 180° top and bottom heat.
