For the ham lasagna, prepare the sauce first.

For the sauce, heat the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and fry for about a minute. Then pour in beef broth and cream.

Stir in Parmesan, let melt, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Pour a ladleful of sauce into a large, preferably rectangular baking dish, smooth it out and top with 3 lasagna sheets.

Layer half of the diced toast ham on top of that, pour another ladle of sauce on top of that, and then layer 3 sheets of lasagna on top of that again.

Spread half of the mozzarella cubes on top and sprinkle with 5 tablespoons of basil. Repeat this process.

Finish with the last 3 sheets of lasagna. Pour the rest of the sauce over them and sprinkle the lasagna with 20 g of grated Parmesan.

Bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Let the ham lasagna cool for 5 minutes before serving.
