Hamburger with Wholemeal Burger Bun

Instructions:

For the hamburger, prepare the whole grain burger buns according to the recipe from “Claudia’s Genusswerkstatt”.

For the burger loaf, first put the beef mince in a bowl and knead well with salt, pepper and various dried herbs with your hands.

Then shape into loaves. Divide the mince mixture into four equal sized pieces and form into burger patties in a bowl and set aside.

Cut open the already baked whole wheat burger buns and prepare them with the additional toppings. To do this, cut the onion into rings and fry in a pan with a little oil.

On the burger bun bottom, place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato and some of the fried onion rings.

Spread any sauces, e.g. mayonnaise, ketchup, or similar on the bun top. Then fry the burger patties in olive oil on both sides and just before they are done cooking, place a slice of mozzarella on top and fry a little more.

Then place this on the whole wheat burger bun and place the lid on top.
