Instructions:

Remove peel from potatoes, rinse and chop.

Remove peel from apples, remove core, cut into slices.

Put potatoes and apples in the pot, pour water, boil, continue cooking for 10-20 minutes and finish cooking for 5-10 minutes.

Mash the potatoes and apples. Season with salt and sugar.

Peel onions and cut into cubes with bacon. Fry bacon and onion in it. Serve the dish with it.

Change:

The dish will taste better if apples and potatoes are cooked separately.

Make applesauce from unpeeled fruits and add it to the mashed potatoes.

Pears can be used instead of apples.

In some areas, a little pepper and a little vinegar are also added.

Elsewhere, nutmeg and pepper. This is then eaten with blunzen, which is cut into slices and fried in butter on both sides. The apple-potato mixture is then served with it.
