For the herb and curd casserole, cook the whole wheat pasta in salted water until al dente. Strain and let drain in a colander.

Mix the egg yolks with the curd cheese. Add the chopped herbs and stir well again. Beat the egg whites until stiff.

Cut the onion, ham and Gouda into cubes. Fry the onion in a little oil until translucent. Then add ham, Gouda and the cooked egg pasta, stir well and remove from heat. Mix in the herb curd, fold in the beaten egg whites and then pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the herb and curd casserole with chopped chives.
