For the housewife pie, peel and core the apples and cut them into thin slices. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice so that they do not turn brown. Cut the tomatoes into slices.

Cut the cheese into slices. Then make layers. Place the 1st package of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top with the apple slices, leaving a border (about 2 cm all around).

Then place the sliced ham on top, followed by the sliced tomatoes. Salt the tomatoes and sprinkle with oregano. Place the cheese on top and pepper.

At the end, fold up the edges, brush with beaten egg yolk, place the 2nd puff pastry as a lid and press gently. Cut off overlapping edges and place as a pattern on the pie.

Brush the pâté with the remaining egg yolk and poke a few holes with a fork. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until the puff pastry is done and nice and golden brown.
