Bring the spices and water to the boil in a saucepan on 3 or automatic heat 9-12 and simmer gently for about 15 minutes with the lid closed on 1 or automatic heat 3-4. Boil again, add the tea and steep for 4 minutes.
Pour the Indian spice tea through a sieve into a preheated pot and serve each with brown sugar.
