For the Kaiserschmarren, mix flour and milk. Add sugar to taste. Add a pinch of salt, divide the eggs and beat the whites until stiff.

Add the egg yolks to the mixture. Add a dash of rum and slowly mix in the beaten egg whites. Put a pan with butter on it.

When the butter has melted, slowly pour in the batter and cover. After about 4 minutes over medium heat, check to see if the batter has already turned a golden brown color on the bottom.

Cut in half and flip over so the second side will brown as well. Tear everything into small pieces and keep turning until it is cooked through. Sprinkle the Kaiserschmarren with powdered sugar and serve with stewed plums or apple sauce.
