For the Kaiserschmarren, stir the egg yolks, sugar, milk, flour and salt into a dough. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in the batter.

In a greased pan, bake the dough in batches (about 2 cm thick) on both sides until light yellow and tear with two forks.

Serve the Kaiserschmarren sprinkled with powdered sugar.
