Instructions:

First, cut the bread into small cubes, whisk milk with eggs and pour over the bread cubes. Allow to set.

Peel the onion, chop finely, sauté in a little hot oil until light and remove from heat.

Grate the cooked potatoes and cut the cheese into small cubes.

Now mix bread cubes with roasted onion, potatoes and cheese well.

Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. With slightly moistened hands form dumplings or loafs from the mass.

Heat enough oil in a pan and fry the cheese dumplings in it until golden brown all over.

Lift out, dab with kitchen roll and arrange on warmed plates. Sprinkle with cress.
