Prepare the dough ready for baking. Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Cover the baking tray with parchment paper.

Mix minced meat with egg, breadcrumbs, Gervais, pepper, salt, parsley and marjoram. Place two ham slices on top, place cheese and remaining ham slices on top. Spread minced meat evenly on ham slices and roll up in it.

Roll out dough to 3 mm thickness (approx. 40 x 23 cm). Place ham roll on bottom edge of dough and roll up in dough. Press dough together at the ends. Place roll on baking sheet, brush with egg and prick with a fork at short intervals. Bake strudel in oven (middle rack) for about 40 minutes.

Bring gravy to a boil, stir in marjoram and steep briefly. Cut strudel into slices and serve with sauce and vegetables.

Mixed vegetables are delicious as a side dish:

Sauté 300 g of mixed vegetables (deep-frozen) in 1 tbsp of foamed butter, douse with 60 ml of wine or water and steam for about 8 minutes with the lid closed. Season vegetables with salt and pepper.

Preparation approx. 60 min, mixed vegetables approx. 10 min.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will give your dish a wonderful touch!
