For the mountain farmer’s bread, mix flour with dry yeast, sugar, salt in a bowl. Warm milk slightly and add lard and knead everything into a yeast dough and let it rise.

For the filling, fry bacon until crisp and cool. Add cheese, salt, pepper and oregano to the bacon and mix everything together.

Roll out dough into a sheet and spread filling on top. Roll up the dough sheet.

Brush the mountain bread with egg yolk and oil and bake at 200°C for about 60 minutes.
