Instructions:

For the owl muffins, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Beat the whole eggs with the salt and sugar until creamy. Meanwhile, melt the chopped chocolate together with the butter over steam and let cool.

Stir the chocolate into the egg mixture and then sift the flour with the baking powder and stir into the muffin batter. Pour the mixture into the muffin tins lined with paper cups and bake for about 20 minutes.

Let the muffins cool and decorate as follows: Carefully separate each Oreo, leaving the white cream layer intact on one side.

(If the Oreos are cold, this can be difficult, so place the cookies in the sun for a short time in the summer and near the heater in the winter.)

“Stick” each of the individual Oreo halves with the white cream layer using a little of the melted chocolate as eye plates on the left and right sides of the muffin.

On top of each, again with a little melted chocolate, glue the Smarties. For the beak, stick a piece of the Smarties in the center of the muffin into the dough (you can also cut a small opening with a sharp knife beforehand to make it easier to stick them in).
