Toast the peanuts in a frying pan for 15 minutes without adding any fat. When they start to brown, remove the frying pan from the kitchen stove.

Cool the peanuts and remove the skins.

Soak the tamarind in a little hot water for 10 min. Drain through a sieve, squeezing the tamarind heartily with the back of a spoon. Prepare the tamarind water together with all other ingredients in a hand blender to a puree.
