Beat soft butter or possibly light butter in a wide bowl with a mixer (whisk) until smooth. gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar and flavoring, stirring until combined. Fold in egg for about 1/2 minute on high speed. Combine flour with baking powder, sift and fold in briefly on medium speed. Fold in nuts briefly.
Using 2 teaspoons, place walnut-sized portions, widely spaced, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press a tiny bit level. Place the baking tray on the middle shelf in the preheated oven.
Baking time: approx. 10 min.
Pull the cookies with the parchment paper onto a cake rack and cool.
Tip: Place a peanut on the mounds of dough before baking.
