For the pineapple pear jam, quarter the pineapple, cut out the stalk, remove the peel.

Peel the pears, remove the core. Cut the fruit into small cubes and place in a large saucepan with the preserving sugar, lemon zest and juice.

Bring to a boil while stirring and boil for 6 minutes until bubbly.

Pour the pineapple-pear jam immediately into clean jars and seal.
