A simple but delicious cake recipe:

1. mix yolks. Add sugar, salt, flour, butter and orange juice, stir until dough is smooth. Cover and place in refrigerator for one hour.

2. roll out dough on floured surface until 1-2 mm thin, cut or wheel out small rectangles 6-8 cm long and 4 cm wide. Score a slit lengthwise in each piece.

Heat the oil and bake the pieces in batches until done. Drain on kitchen roll and cool. 4.

For the syrup, bring sugar, cinnamon, one-eighth of a liter of water and finely peeled orange peel chips to a boil, simmer gently for 5 minutes, then remove peels and cinnamon. Cool syrup, brush pastries with it.

Bring to table immediately, because it tastes best fresh.
