Instructions:

Peel and core the pumpkin. Cut the flesh into thick cubes.

Bring the milk to a boil and add the pumpkin cubes, salt. Stir frequently, as the pumpkin sets easily. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.

Blend or puree the soup. Add the butter and blend again to make the soup creamy.

Arrange in a soup bowl and serve with toasted bread slices, if desired.
