Instructions:

For the punch crescents, prepare short pastry as described in the basic recipe.

Preheat the oven to 170 ºC hot air.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface. Cut out half-moon shaped cookies. Place the cookie crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 12 minutes.

When cool, brush half of the cookies with punch icing and sprinkle with chocolate stars. Let dry.

Then use jam to glue one punch cookie to each cookie base.
