Rinse and drain the rowan berries. Boil them with the tap water. Remove the skin from the apples, remove the core and chop into wedges. After 10 minutes of cooking, add the apples, sugar and spices and continue cooking until the fruit is soft, which takes about 100 minutes. If you want to preserve the compote for a longer period of time, fill it into prepared jars and sterilize them.

Tip: Cinnamon gives dishes a wonderful sweet and spicy note!
