Serve this mild dip with fresh raw vegetables – exceptionally tasty with cauliflower florets.

Saffron threads with 1 tbsp boiling hot water in a heatproof dessert bowl form. Steep for 3-4 min, stirring in between. Stir cream cheese until smooth, then mix in dissolved saffron with liquid.

With scissors, cut chives directly into dip. Pluck basil leaves and fold in.

Season strongly with salt and freshly ground pepper. Serve with the vegetables.

Instead of saffron, the dip can also be seasoned with lime juice. Alternatively, you can also use ground saffron instead of saffron threads.

Our tip: Fresh chives are much more aromatic than dried ones!
