For the spelt casserole, soak the spelt grains for one night. The next day, boil for 10 minutes and then leave to soak for 1 hour.

Bring soup to a boil and add the spelt meal, cook until a viscous paste is formed. Mix in egg, spelt grains, cream, cheese and parsley.

Saute onion and chicken and season with salt and pepper.

In a buttered baking dish, pour half of the grain porridge, top with chicken and fill the baking dish with the remaining grain porridge. Place butter flakes on top.

Bake the spelt casserole in the oven at 180° C for about 35 minutes.
