Soak the beans covered with water for 12 hours.

Cut the meat into equal cubes.

Peel and dice the onion and garlic clove.

Bring the beans to a boil in the soaking water and simmer gently for 1 hour with the lid on.

Heat lard. Stir-fry meat, onion and garlic in it and add to beans.

Cut chili in half, remove the inside, dice very finely and stir into the beans with pepper, salt, paprika powder.

Simmer everything gently for another 1 hour with the lid on. Scald tomatoes with hot water, peel and roughly dice. Add to the stew 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
