For the steak pie, dice the onions and chop the parsley. Heat the butter, sauté the onions until translucent, add the parsley and set aside. Defrost the puff pastry slices.

Cut the meat into fine slices. Mix cornstarch with pepper and salt, dust meat with it and chop mushrooms. Layer meat, onion mixture and mushrooms in a shallow gratin dish and pour meat soup over it.

Place puff pastry slices on top of each other and roll out to the size of the mold. Cover the ingredients with it, press the edge tightly smooth and pierce a hole in the middle of the pastry sheet to allow steam to escape.

Whisk egg yolks with tap water and brush the top of the dough with it. Put the pie in the heated oven at 200°C for about 50 to 60 minutes.

Place the steak pie in the baking dish.
