For the gratinated steak sandwich, preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Cut the meat into thin strips. (approx. 0.5 – 1 cm wide).

Heat the oil in a pan and brown the steak strips well on all sides. When the strips are done, set aside.

Peel the onion and cut it into thin slices. Also wash the tomato and cut it into thin slices. Either grate the cheese or cut it into small pieces.

Slice the baguette and spread the surfaces with tomato paste. Place tomato slices on top, then onion slices on top. Finally, place the steak strips on top of the onion slices and sprinkle the cheese over the meat.

Finally, sprinkle with garlic and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
