Instructions:

For strawberries with basil and limoncello, boil water and sugar in a small saucepan to a light syrup.

Remove from the heat, stir in the limoncello and allow to cool. Rinse and clean the strawberries and cut into small pieces.

Cut the basil leaves into tender strips and mix with the syrup. Pour the syrup over the strawberries and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Pour the strawberries into glasses, add a little syrup and bring to the table sprinkled with basil strips.

The strawberries with basil and limoncello go perfectly with lemon espuma, which you layer with the strawberries, or almond cookies with lemon espuma.
