Instructions:

For the Stuffed Pears and Apples, boil 500 ml of water with the maple syrup, lemon juice, cloves, lemon zest and vinegar.

Peel apples and pears, cut them in half and remove the cores with a baller.

Add the fruit to the boiling liquid and cook for about 2 – 4 min, then remove the fruit pieces from the hot broth, otherwise they would continue to cook and fall apart.

Fill the fruit halves with the cranberry compote, decorate with mint or lemon balm leaves if desired and serve the Stuffed Pears and Apples with any game dish.
