Instructions:

For the Styrian cabbage soup, in a large pot, sauté the finely chopped vegetables and onion with butter.

Then add the finely chopped cabbage and sauté briefly now add the strained tomatoes mixed with the 2 liters of soup in the pot. Add salt, pepper, cumin and bay leaf.

If there is not enough liquid after 20 minutes of cooking, you can add water or soup. Bring to a boil and then simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes.

Arrange the soup in a plate and put a blob of sour cream or cream fraiche or yogurt in the middle and drizzle a bit of kernel oil over the blob.
