For the Styrian horseradish dumplings, stir butter until fluffy, beat egg well and slowly stir into butter.

Mix in semolina, horseradish and spices. Let dough rest for 15 minutes. Cook formed dumplings in boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Cover and let stand for at least 10 minutes.

Serve the Styrian horseradish dumplings with vegetable ragout.
