Instructions:

For the chocolate cake, melt the chocolate and butter together in a water bath. Beat the sugar and the 5 eggs until fluffy.

Stir in the flour, baking powder and cocoa. Finally, add the melted chocolate-butter mixture.

Preheat the oven to 160 °C convection oven or 180 °C top/bottom heat and bake for 30 minutes. For the chocolate icing, heat 100 dark chocolate and 100 ml cream (but do not bring to the boil).

Pour over the chocolate and let it melt like this. Stir and spread over the baked cake. Either let the icing set or enjoy the cake immediately.
