Dissolve the butter over low heat. Now mix in the flour with a wooden spoon. After 15 minutes of stirring, the flour should be toasted to the point where it gives off a nutty smell. Now add in the shredded coconut, walnuts and cardamom. Roast for another 2 minutes. Mix all the ingredients well. Remove the frying pan from the heat, add the sugar and stir thoroughly with a fork. Set aside for a few minutes to cool. When the mixture has cooled enough to handle, wet your hands and form 12-15 walnut-sized balls. You can smooth the mixture out the same way on a lightly greased tray and cut into small rectangles when cool.
