Thuringian Cabbage Dumplings with Grilled Sausage and Bockwurst

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 150 °C (gas: level 1). Cook the steamed noodles according to the package instructions.

Clean and rinse cabbage and cut into strips. Peel onions and finely dice with bacon. Heat Íl, add bacon cubes and sauté until translucent.

Add savoy cabbage strips and toss well. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Fill everything into a greased casserole dish.

Cut bratwurst, bockwurst and cooked steamed noodles into slices. First sausage slices, then dumpling slices flaky spread evenly on the casserole. Spread with sour cream or crème fraiche. Cover and bake in heated oven for about 25 to half an hour.

Serve sprinkled with chive rolls and diced bacon.

Our tip: Use a bacon with a strong flavor – this will give this dish a special touch!
