For the Tyrolean bacon waffles, cut the bacon into 1/2 cm cubes and sauté them in a frying pan for 5 minutes until translucent.

Mix the eggs, milk and whipped cream together. Mix the flour as well as the baking powder and add by the spoonful while stirring vigorously. Season the dough with salt and paprika.

Remove the bacon cubes from the rendered fat and mix into the dough. Melt the lard at low temperature in the bacon fat.

Heat the waffle iron very high and coat both sides with the fat. Pour in the batter in batches and close the waffle iron. Bake the waffles for 1-2 minutes at a time until golden brown.

Keep warm on a preheated plate until all waffles are done. Arrange the Tyrolean bacon waffles and serve.
