For warm slaw, remove outer leaves, quarter head of cabbage and finely shave with a cabbage slicer. If a cabbage slicer is not available, cut into fine noodles with a sharp knife.

Boil vinegar with beef broth, caraway seeds, sugar, salt and pepper, add cabbage and boil vigorously for a short time.

Cut bacon into small cubes and fry in a hot pan. Remove the bacon. Finely chop onion and sauté in remaining fat until translucent. Mix the onions with the cabbage.

Arrange the warm cabbage salad, sprinkle with the crispy bacon cubes and pour over the remaining fat.
