Instructions:

Mix the eggs with whole wheat flour and a little water and season with salt and nutmeg. Add enough water to make a thick dough.

Boil salted water in a wide pot. Using a teaspoon, make dumplings from the dough and simmer gently in the salted water for a few minutes.

While cooking, stir carefully from time to time so that the wholemeal dumplings do not stick to the bottom.
