* Legumes: Due to the high fiber content and the slow absorption of carbohydrates into the blood, we recommend to add only a part (about 1/3) of the carbohydrates. In this regard, everyone should gain their own experience.

Rinse the peas and soak them in 1 l of water for 12 hours. Remove the peel from the onion and chop it coarsely. Remove the peel from the carrot and cut into fine cubes. Let the peas bubble up in the soaking water, then skim off the pods floating on top. Add carrot, marjoram, onion, thyme and salt to the peas form. Cook the pork whole in the soup for 1 1/2 hours. Season later with salt and a little pepper. Cut the meat into slices and bring to the table with brown bread (extra Be!) and mustard to accompany the soup, if desired. The soup can be a good substitute for a main meal.
